Information for Students:
When is the first day of school?
Classes begin on September 2nd with a full day of instruction.
How do make timetable changes?
When considering timetable changes, the following criteria will be followed to avoid disappointment:
The time tabling of core subjects is given priority. Course sections are balanced and may be full so few changes can be made. Grade 10 sections are designed for Grade 10 students. Older grades will be given a low priority on these classes. Teacher selections will be given a low priority.
You can come into SCHS and meet with an administration to discuss timetable changes starting on August 24th for grade 12's, August 25th for Grade 11's and August 26th for Grade 10 students.
When is registration?
Student Registration occurs at 12:30 p.m. on August 31st for Grade 10's, 1:00 p.m. on September 1st for Grade 11's and at 9 a.m. on September 1st for Grade 12 students.
What happens during registration?
Students will proceed through several stations throughout the school in order to get their:
fee sheet (and may also pay fees)
their locker
timetable
textbooks (will need their timetables)
school I.D. cards
When are school pictures be taken?
Students will have their school pictures taken at registration and will be able to order their color portrait packages. Payment for their portrait packages is due at this time. A fee pamphlet can be obtained through the school.When does the cafeteria open for service?The cafeteria opens on the first day of classes, providing a limited menu. Additional items will be added daily to both the lunch and breakfast menus until approximately a week after classes begin when the cafeteria will offer a full menu selection with additional daily specials.
