Educational Questions

Class Registration

Grade 10

SCHS has grade 9 orientation and an open house before the spring. In the spring, grade nine students select courses. Counselling staff may contact students that do not have the sufficient pre-requisites for selected courses. If you would like to make changes, please bring an updated report card during the last week of August and we can make those changes for you. Course electives such as art and physical education are the same for all students. In the core subjects, students will choose between two different course streams: academic and applied. Academic courses prepare students for university where applied courses prepare students for college and the workplace.

Grades 11 & 12

Students from grades 11 and 12 wanting course changes can stop by the school the last day in August or make course changes in the main office at the start of each semester.
