Game Schedule

Tournament and League Play Recaps:

September 22/23 SFX Boom tournament
The Sr. Girls volleyball team lost in a close quarter final match, after playing 19 games of volleyball, in the SFX Boom tournament on the weekend. Our Captain Marley Broda was awarded a tournament All-star and our Assistant Captain, Emma Gibson, was runner up in the "Hardest Hitter" contest with a spiked ball clocked at  42 miles/hour!  Good job girls. We play here at SCHS today at 4:45, see you there.

September 26 League Play
Congratulations to the Sr. Girls Volleyball team on their win over Salisbury in 3 straight sets last night.  This awesome team can be seen again at home on Thursday at 6:15 against an arch rival St. Albert high. This one could be standing room only get there early!

September 27 League Play
The sr. girls volleyball team was in a volleyball marathon with St. Albert High last night. The game lasted over 2 hours. We won the first 2 sets  then, unfortunately, in a point for point battle, lost the next 3. The improvement was very obvious in this match, keep your eyes on this team!

September 30/October 1 Mac/Edmonton Christian tournament
Once again the Sr. Girls have made us proud, advancing to the top 4 in the Mac/Edmonton Christian tournament this weekend. There were 14 teams in the tournament and we won the majority of the 20 games we played. We are home again on Wednesday night, see you then!

October 28/29 Memorial Invitational Tournament
Congratulations to the Sr. Girls volleyball team who captured the bronze medal at the Memorial Invitational Tournament this past Friday and Saturday. We lost one match that happened to be the semi final, so bronze it was to be. An additional congratulations goes to our Right side/setter, Dani Keiftenbeld, who was awarded a tournament all star! The girls have played 109 games of volleyball to date, this season, and look forward to beating Paul Kane today at 4:45!

November 2 League Game
Well, we were eighth and they were first, but with big hearts we fought, until we were proudly defeated 28-30, 16-25 and 18-25. What a great attempt to slay the Lion! After 117 games, 5 tournaments, 3 All-stars the Sr. women's volleyball team have completed a great season.

November 8 Playoff Game
Well we got a second life, and we're living it!  The Sr. girls defeated MacDonald High last night, in a marathon 5 set match, to keep the "Cinderella Story" alive.  We now play SFX Wed. at 4:45.
